A HUGE thank you to our sponsors as well. Because of them, we can provide giveaways, complementary food and beverages, family fun activities and more.
While the walking path is handicap accessible for wheelchairs to navigate, there are some cracks & areas that may make it challenging for those using a walker/ cane. Please know we welcome everyone of all abilities to join in and please observe the path for your own safety. Completing the half mile route is just a suggestion as this event is simply about coming together to support the amazing ALS Center and hope through research! What is ALS & what causes ALS?
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou Gehrig’s Disease, is a degenerative neuromuscular disease affecting motor nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. More than 30,000 Americans have ALS at any one time.
Although first described in 1869, the cause, cure and means of prevention of ALS are still unknown. For this reason, your support continues to be greatly needed.
