Welcome to In Mike's Memory’s Page!
It affects as many as 30,000 in the United States, with 5,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Estimates suggest that Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is responsible for as many as five of every 100,000 deaths in people aged 20 or older. Mike was one such person. We’re walking in his memory and to help those facing this disease.
Since 1988, St. Peter’s Hospital ALS Regional Center has been providing people with ALS, sometimes referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, and their families with a comprehensive, specialized blend of services and resources. Most services and resources are provided by St. Peter’s ALS Regional Center at no charge to the patient and family.
