What is ALS & what causes ALS?

Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), sometimes called Lou  Gehrig’s Disease, is a degenerative neuromuscular disease  affecting motor nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. More  than 30,000 Americans have ALS at any one time.

Although first described in 1869, the cause, cure and means of  prevention of ALS are still unknown. For this reason, your support continues to be greatly needed.
